Carlos A. Douglas
Owner / Broker

Carlos specializes in employee benefits and individual packages for health, life, dental, disability and long-term care products. IME has been owned and operated by Carlos' family since 1979. Carlos is the only broker in Colorado to have experience as a hospital administrator. He spent 20 years in the United States Army (Major, Ret.) as a medical officer and was instrumental in developing the telemedicine program for the military.

The National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) is an organization with approximately 20,000 health insurance professionals who serve more than 100 million Americans. Carlos has been a member of NAHU for more than 10 years, and has served in various leadership positions within the organization's local and state board. He also belongs to the Southern Colorado Association of Health Underwriters (SCAHU) and is one of only a few members with a Masters in Business Administration. Carlos recently served as the SCAHU Legislative Chair. Ties to this position keep him apprised of new legislation regarding all aspects of employee benefits and it allows him to have input when new legislation is proposed.

Involvement in the local community is important to Carlos. He has served on the boards for both Safe Passage (formerly The Children's Advocacy Center) and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Meagan L. Ray
Broker / Marketing & Communications Manager

Meagan specializes in employee benefits and individual packages for health, Medicare, life, dental, and disability products. When she moved back to Colorado in 2009 Meagan joined her family's business.

After attending Baylor University, Meagan spent time working in the public relations field where she gained professional experience in marketing, advertising, customer relations and media relations. She brings her experience in superior customer service to IME. Her academic background also included Web site technology and she hopes to continue IME's progress in streamlining and increasing benefit accessibility for current and future clients. Meagan also belongs to SCAHU and is the organization's current membership co-chair.

Supporting local small businesses and the local community is important to Meagan, as she is a native of Colorado Springs. IME has been a suporter of The Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce and Meagan participates in several monthly functions supporting The Chamber and its members. She currently volunteers with Safe Passage (formerly The Children's Advocacy Center) and is active with the Chamber Rising Professionals organization.
